Podshow Press?
Mark spilled some beans about an upcoming project on the DSC last week.
Mark is heading up "Podshow Press" a publishing arm of Podshow. Podshow press is very similar to the Podsafe Music Network where the royalties come back to the artist 100% (in this case, minus the cost of making the book). It is an interesting concept that just might draw a lot of unpublished authors to the Podshow fold.
Podshow seems to be growing quite a bit. With sponsorships galore and an ever expanding universe, it looks like Podshow is the dark horse of the podcast media empire race. Kudos to Ron Bloom and Adam Curry for getting things done.
I believe that diversifying and using the connections that companies like Podshow and Revision3 have will help to bring podcasting and long tail creative works into the mainstream.
Looks like the next generation of content will be made by you and I, not Hollywood.

I wonder how thoroughly they looked at podiobooks.com when they were putting this together.
I agree. I love Podiobooks. I think that Podshow probably looked and then tried to take it one step further. I think they are really trying to do it all.
I actually thought they might have bought Podiobooks, but apparently that they thought they could do it themselves.
I wonder how much Scott Sigler's transition to Podshow spurred this new enterprise.
